I hate shopping for clothes. Hate it. I can’t wait until I lose more weight. Everything is made so damn small now. I know I will never be a size 0, but it would be nice even to feel comfortable in a great pair of jeans again. It’s been so long since I’ve bought something that I just love, that I feel great and look great in.. I always have to compromise or settle for something that’s alright. I to be somewhat trendy too. I want to wear the new styles and actually be comfortable in it.

The weather is so stifflingly hot. I hate walking into a wall of humidity everytime I step outside. I case you haven’t noticed, I hate humidity.

I am part of a wedding this fall and we have the stag and doe on Friday night. I’m really looking foward to it! There’s going to be a bunch of friends for college there too.
The only thing that I am hesitant about is my weight. I know it sounds so superficial. I know it does. But I just dread the looks, because I know what’s going through people’s heads… I’ve had thoughts like that when I was about 35lbs lighter too. “Holy shit, she’s gained weight.” It sounds so harsh and mean and heartless… but that’s my fear.
It’s Thursday

hey Sam – youare right – people do think that way. But half those people probably don’t have a cute little baby who isn’t even 1 yr old yet – to show for that extra weight. Don’t be too hard on yourself – you aren’t that big that people are going to gasp when they see you. Cover it up as well as possible – wear a nice black top that shows a bit of skin….black pants, jeans etc… withyour blond hair – you will look HOT baby! Don’t be shy to let people know you are now trying to lose some weight – so they don’t shovel food down your mouth ~ be strong ~ eat well ~ have fun ~ an dbe happy it isn’t a 20 year reunion LOL LOL LOL Half the people at those look wrinkled, overweight, and balding LOL. Hmmm. Maybe I should go to one! hahah.
I hate humidity too. Don’t rish the clothes, they’ll come. Baby steps. 9 months up 9 months down.
Tina made a good suggestion with the black pants. They’re very slimming. You’re going to look beautiful and strange guys are going to buy you drinks and you’re going to have a great time!
We’ve been dealing with the humidity here too. I’ve just about given up on doing my hair because it frizzes up as soon as I walk outside.
I miss you, girl! Email me some pictures of the party if you end up taking any.
Sam, you looked amazing when I saw you yesterday; I can’t believe you are being so hard on yourself. Our bodies change permanently when we have babies…they just never go back to being exactly what they were. Don’t forget that you just stopped breastfeeding, and it’s impossible to lose too much weight when you are still physically providing for your baby. I found that I lost 5-10 lbs in the months after I stopped. You are an amazing, beautiful woman with a sweet little baby. Don’t be too hard on yourself…you will make it to your goal. (I’m 17+ months postpartum and I still have that last 10 lbs hanging around!)
OK…I just love that picture LOL
