Well, physically I have been doing a little “work” on myself. I figured it’s about time, I deserve it!!
I’ve bought new glasses, been working on losing weight and got my hair done finally! And I really love it!
I can feel self confidence coming back. I don’t feel as sluggish and as though I have to hide myself from the world. I feel better, stronger and more beautiful now. It’s amazing really what losing 10lbs can do for someone!
So my hair… we (Rebecca and I) dyed it and trimmed it last night - well, I guess more Rebecca then me. LOL
It was actually a lot of fun! She came over for dinner for Carter’s birthday (my brother was at work and she was all alone) we had steak, mixed vegetable salad with greek feta dressing, broccoli, potatoes and crab! We went all out, for us mostly but Carter enjoyed it as well.
We then drove to her house and she did the dye and cut on my hair! She did so great, and we’re both really impressed with how well it turned out! I feel like a new woman! LOL The dye that we used is called ice cream. It’s apparently an Italian supplier.. I tried to find the website, but it’s not working… It’s a professional grade hair dye sold in drug stores. I was really impressed with it… and LOVE the colour selection. It’s the same price, if not a little cheaper then L’Oreal or other high quality name brand dyes.
On the wy to dropping me off home we got pulled over though. *ugh* She forgot her headlights - since it’s so bright on city streets it’s hard to notice if your lights are on or not… I’ve done it many times too… Plus we’re out at 1am… and the first sign of drunk driving is driving without headlights… so he stopped us. The cop actually thought it was funny that we were dying hair at 1am… he said “That’s a very womanly thing to be doing at this hour!” and laughed… he was actually really cute too. LOL
So, about my makeover..
People have been noticing my weight loss as well; that’s a HUGE bonus and makes me feel like I am accomplishing something… which really helps me keep at it! It’s hard sometimes though.. but I’ve actually adjusted VERY well and it’s becoming a normal part of my lifestyle now!
Slowly but surely things are turning around for me, lifestyle wise. I spend less and less time here or at the TV. I am getting out more and doing more activities with Carter, which I am loving!
I am feeling great, and looking great, what more could I ask for!! - Except a money tree, but that’s a whole other story!
