Happy 2007 friends!
What did you do to ring in the New Year? Any parties, gatherings, drinking, embarrassing stories to share? Spill it, I need to know. Any gossip is fabulous, and I could use it now!
My story, not entertaining in the least. Tad embarrassing maybe even. I was sick again. But just a head cold this time.. not the sickness I suffered over Christmas. I just have a lingering cough and sniffles I can’t shed.
We drove 2.5 hours North to visit with my mom and step-dad and had a great time. My mom was not her normal self which actually made the visit quite pleasant. Four days of happiness and no nit-picking was all I needed, except for the sick part. Ugh.
I was so drugged up on Neo-Citran and Benelyn last night that I passed out at 10pm. Mike was ahead of me though; he was out by 8:30. We are party central. Watch out for these wild partiers! What is the saying about ringing in the new year… how you spend your New Year’s Eve is an indication of what’s to come in that year? I am in for a wonderful year. I can see it now. LOL
So, today, we hopped ourselves up on drugs and made the trek home. Home sweet home. I missed my computer. I missed it so. It hard being away for two days and not posting or reading. Feels somewhat liberating though. Such a sad life I lead.
And tomorrow is back to the grind. Work bright and early. Blech. Not looking forward to it. I think that’s why I don’t take vacation often; it’s so hard to get back “into it”. I always dread the first day back after a vacation or even a long weekend. Next year will be harder because we’re spending our New Years in Vegas. This year I was saving up. Yup, that’s it. Saving’ up. Since next year’s going to be a party! I can see it now… asleep in my hotel room in Vegas on New Year’s at 10pm. If I am, shoot me.
