I really don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this point; I’ve been sick so much that I can’t quite remember what it feels like not to be. If I’m not sick (for a maximum of a week’s time), I recuperating from the cold I am getting over, then another hits. On top of being completely physically exhausting, it’s a mental drain as well. I hate feeling sorry for myself, but I can’t help it anymore. Depression deepens with each cough and sniffle. I just detest being sick.
This kid is going to be lost outside the womb without the hacking, coughing and wheezing that it’s become accustomed to in there.
Aside from the new cold I’ve developed, Easter weekend was a nice little break. (Though, I have been working out of a different office for the past couple months and got an email today saying that my company has shut down for Easter Monday as well. Dude, I should so be sitting at home right now… but I’m in the damn office because I just got the email now. From Thursday afternoon. When I had already left for my weekend. Go figure.)
We did our fist Easter egg hunt for Carter this year and he had an absolute blast! I thought for sure he would have been bored after a few eggs and given up but he was so into it Mike and I were scrambling around with the left over Mini Eggs and foil wrapped chocolate eggs hiding more as he hunted. He just couldn’t get enough!

I know your pain. I spent the months from September until February sick. It was horrible. And I’ve been working hard to avoid the spring cold, but I doubt I’ll be able to.
Oh, and Stewie has the same pyjamas. Heh heh!

Such a cutie pie. How have I not seen a pic of him before? Am I blind or just stupid? I love the first egg hunt, it is so much fun. We ran around hiding more eggs too. I didn’t want it to end. Hope you get to feeling better. Sucks about work, do you get points for showing up on an off day? Hope so.

I hope you feel better soon…..I’ve only been sick off and on for about a month and a half, and it’s worn me down physically and mentally as well.

You already know why I’m asking this, but do you have a CO detector? I only recently got one, but I was sick for months during my pregnancy, too….and it turns out (according to the wonderful worlds of the internets) that you’re more suceptible to it during pregnancy…

I was reading something earlier today that made the light come on. Anemia apparently compromises your immune system as well and that’s why I’ve been completely unable to fight off these colds! *Hopefully* once I have the baby and get my iron stores back I’ll be on the road to recovery!
Lexi: Yes, I do have one and just checked it/changed batteries when we changed the clocks back. Though I had no idea we’re more susceptible during pregnancy!

Oh my God, Sam! Carter is adorable!!! I guess that is the first picture I’ve seen of him, up close and all. He’s SO super cute. I’m glad he liked hunting eggs. I sucked and didn’t do a hunt for Braden. But to be fair, they had a hunt at school and he didn’t even want to go. I guess he thinks at 6, he’s too cool for hunting eggs. We colored eggs though and he really loved that.
I can’t tell you how sorry I am that you are sick again. It’s crazy how non stop sick you’ve been.

I hear you on being sick! It’s been non-stop for me. But, since I’ve been on mat leave and taking it easier (napping … hee hee!) I’ve been feeling way healthier. So, maybe you’re drained?? Personally, I think it’s the freaking cold weather.
Also, love the egg hunt pics.
We had a little egg hunt, and Matt loved it so much that he went and hid eggs himself and hunted them again. It was pretty cute.

I think at six I still LOVED the egg hunt. Though, kids have changed a lot since then. I remember my dad and step mom used to hide the big Cadbury eggs and the little foil wrapped ones everywhere! It was a hoot hunting for them all. Though, I’m glad that Braden at least enjoyed colouring the eggs. That’s fun too!
