what a great post… im on maternity leave now… baby due in 5 weeks time… im so scared of finding myself in a rut as that would be the type of person i am… always have been. im researching what groups we have nearby here in Dublin but to be honest there isnt a lot…

I didn't know what a "Mom's Group" would be like either, but decided if I made even ONE friend who had a same-aged baby it would be worth it. I ended up with 3-4 great friends and a ton of nice acquaintances that I can at least chat with at the playground. I have enjoyed them way more than I could have dreamed, and of course, relied on them completely when I had sleep and eating issues. Who knew what this new world would be like??!! I never got into the whole mommy group thing. I guess I am a bit shy IRL. heh! Now I have this great mom network on the computer and have found that I was not alone with what I was going through, I wish I had know it then, would have saved me a lot of heartache.
