    The library, free and educational.

Baking, may cost a bit, but you can eat it afterwards.

Your suggestions of picnic is great. I will have to add that to my things to do this summer.

Also if there is something you, Carter and Hudson really like to do see if you can get a pass. Here in Calgary a trip to the zoo is 16$, but zoo passes for a year are 50$. It’s worth it for us to get a pass becuase we go once a month.

I’m interested to hear what everyone suggests too, we are always looking for new and cheap things to do.

Whenever we go for getaway holidays, I tell my kids to lookout or coupon booklets in our hotel lobby and at the restaurants’ entrances. It’s difficult for a family to eat lunch in a restaurant for under $50, even at a moderately-priced chain. So eating three meals a day in restaurants really adds up when we go on vacation. To save money, do picnics and get some French bread, cold cuts, cheese and beverages.

Those cupcakes are making me hungry.

We go to the park, go for walks, play outside in the yard. We do playdates, go to the waterpark (there’s a water park that’s free nearby), play in the pool outside in the yard, local festivals, Children’s musuem.

We try to do one big thing a summer and then just spend time in the pool or just playing together outside. Kids are easy, its husbands that are hard.
