I can’t help it. I’m addicted.
I think about it. I twitter about it. I crave it (the show, not the stuff - anymore).
Weeds is absolutely my new favourite show.
I haven’t been so in love with a television show since Melrose Place. It’s been about 12 years since I’ve last unplugged the phone- because that’s what you had to do 12 years ago (My Lawd, has it been 12 years since Melrose went off the air!?), unplug it - or ignored anyone talking to me while the show was on.
There’s something about television that is just a little on the other side of The Line that I find compelling. It’s not mainstream sitcom or predicable drama; it’s hilarious, very crude and so! my! style! that I just can’t stop watching and wondering.
What shows have completely sucked you in that you find yourself anticipating time alone to watch it in peace? Lost? 24? The Office?

::: No time to share the barf at school dance story today - Infant had a low grade fever and Toddler was completely unruly today. I have no patience for age three - that’s another post. :::
::: I’ve been really considering this on-line book club thingy that I mentioned. I haven’t forgotten about it. I’m just trying to devise a way to go about it if there’s enough interest. :::

Brothers and Sisters. I stayed up after Desperate Housewives one night and caught it entirely by accident while working on my laptop - sucked. me. in. I love that show.
I also love Grey’s Anatomy, but realized at BlogHer over a couple cocktails and conversation with other ex-fans of it, it makes me all dark and twisty on the inside.

Grey’s Anatomy.. It drives my husband up the wall but I LOVE it. Its the only series that has actually brought me to tears at times.

I’m with you on the Weeds! I’ll never feel the way I felt about 6 Feet Under, though. Oh, and I do love The L Word, too.

Rescue Me. Enough said. I have rented all previous 3 seasons….TWICE….and am anxiously awaiting the Blockbuster acquisition of the 4th season just so I can review it before the 5th comes on.
It’s twisted, it’s crass, it’s totally objectifying, and yet my feminist self just cannot look away! I love the dry humor and the sexy bluntness of it all.

definitely Grey’s Anatomy. I’m so into this show, I actually watched it while giving birth to my youngest. In fact, I was in the end stages of labor…the show was on and I actually asked the doctor to move out of my line of vision for the TV! I had the urge to push toward the end of the show and I held back and didn’t tell the nurse because I NEEDED to see the end!! I made sure he wasn’t born until AFTER the show!!! (and he was…a half hour after!)

I think I’m the only person on the planet that hasn’t watched Grey’s Anatomy. Seriously. I haven’t ever sat through an entire episode.

I was really addicted to 24 for a while, then it just got too predictable. It’s always the same shit. Terrorist and Jack saves the day. Wow.

I watched the first few episodes of Weeds and for some reason (maybe kids!) never had the time to follow it. I used to be all over Rescue Me too…
Now? It’s MADMEN.

Weeds rocks - have you watched the first 2 seasons? I’m also very much addicted to Greys Anatomy but Weeds is right on the top of my list!

When I joined Netflix, I started my show marathons. You know, all the shows I missed while they were on tv. Each show became my obsession. I’d watch every episode, every season. Then when I was done, I’d be upset, but then I’d find a new one. I couldn’t wait for the kids to go to bed every night so I could get comfy and watch. It started with Charmed, Alias, Weeds, Nip/Tuck, and just recently LOST.
