That’s Me, A Fail Whale

by samantha on August 3, 2008

Me: I feel fat and frumpy. I’m so fat! *pouty tone* I hate being fat!

Mike: Well, first off. Stop wearing shorts from grade nine.

Me: How did you know they’re from grade nine? (cuz really. THEY. ARE.)

FAIL.

How old do you have to be for grade 9? I am so slow with this… to even have a hope of understanding the numbering, I have to get out my Judy Blume books :)

And – dude! You just had a baybay!! :)

I can’t comment. I only got rid of underwear from grade nine last year. So. Embarrassing.

If you can fit into grade 9 pants you must be doing brilliantly!
Cheers

Hmmm, I haven’t seen my 9th grade clothes since… well… Ninth grade. The fact that you wear them (can button them up!) and they make you feel fat… No sympathy here!

You are not alone! I still have the shorts I was forced to buy for gym class in grade 9…and yes, they make me feel fat…cuz, um, I didn’t have 2 babies back then!

and neither did you! So…don’t be so hard on yourself! At least they still fit (enough to wear them)…

I agree with all of the previous posters–if you can fit into your pants from 9th grade–don’t even worry about feeling frumpy! haha.

Okay, this sounds A LOT more vain then it did in my head. LOL!!

My shorts? They are the gym uniform shorts and they used to fall OFF when I was in grade nine. Now? They hug my thighs like a long lost friend. Ha!

The fact that you can get grade 9 shorts ON means you are absolutely positively not a whale. Silly woman.
I don’t think I even have clothes that old.. :-)

I think the oldest clothes I have that I can still wear are from college, and I had the misfortune to attend college during the grunge years. Not pretty.

I can’t even use the whole “Am I fat” line with Bob…he’ll look at me and say “yes you are.” When I get upset he says “Ask a stupid question, you get a stupid answer.” LOL

Girl, if you are wearing clothes from high school…you are SO not fat!! I’m lucky if I can get into clothes from college!!
