Ha ha ha LOVE it! Yes, I was very disappointed as well, but you cannot believe the signs that popped up on EVERY household lawn and business in favor of this Prop... it was everywhere. Where were the opponents then??? I would have stood with them, honked for them, protested for them... but they weren't as vocal or visible. I will say this though: the win was by a slim margin, so should this come to ballot again (and it will) there should be a win! I live in California and what happened is that the opponents of Prop 8 underestimated how much the Evangelical and Mormon churches (and others) were politicking to pass this. It was being preached at every Sunday service, that the bible is against it. Bumper stickers and propaganda was being passed-out in front of many churches.

With the divorce rate as high as it is, people have a lot of nerve talking about the sanctity of marriage. Maybe the gays can teach us a thing or two about love and commitment.

They should have been out protesting before the vote went down. The opposition did not get their message out until it was too late. They just trusted that people would do the right thing. How wrong they were.

The bible also says, “thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” (Ro. 13:9) and “judge not, that ye be not judged.” (Mat. 7:1)

Flippin' people off with ya... Kapow! Seriously, what happened California... are you turning all Ohio on us with you going all liberal and then all conservative and then all liberal again? How about a little common sense, California? Just treat people equally. No biggie. Not complicated. Just equal. It most certainly doesn't endanger my marriage or my child. I’m embarrassed to live the state that passed this. I voted NO, This country should stand for equal rights for all. You can believe in your one heart what marriage is to you, but you should not stop others from what they believe it means.
