I’m going through a slump. I don’t know if it’s this lackluster design, my brains or the fact that I’m overwhelmed with other tasks in my life, but I am just not feeling like writing typing here at the moment. I try. I agonize over something to write type. I start, I hate it and throw it in draft before I erase it all together.
I look at my stats and the agony increases. The stats show the suckage and it ain’t pretty people. I could just walk away and work on my other online responsibilities, but I don’t want to. I want this space. I want this space to be fun again! I want to love this space like I used to when I first began. You know the feeling. The one where you half smile and sigh when you open your browser to gaze upon a cute design hosting all your favourite images and stories of your life. People are visiting and commenting and sharing in a part of your life.
Maybe I need just need a hiatus…

WHEW! I guess I’m not the only one. Thank God for that!
I haven’t even been doing this for as long as you and I need a break. I guess my advice to you (advice I’ll be taking myself come summer) is to take a break. If it gets to the point that it’s not fun anymore, it’s time. Your blog- and us- will be waiting when you decide to come back.

I echo Sam. When it feels like it’s a job and not something that helps you just vent or unwind, step away and find what makes you happy again (like those gorgeous blue eyes…seriously…omg!). I think a lot of people are feeling what you are at the moment.

I’ve been in a blogging slump for months and have watched my traffic dwindle down to… well, my mom is probably still reading me. I’m not going to say, “Oh well, I only write for me anyway,” because once you’ve made a commitment to publishing, you don’t only write for yourself. (I do, actually, write for me, but only my eyes get to see it. I wouldn’t dare blog that stuff.) Sorry, not much of a pep talk.

Oh, he really is adorable. (And it’s weird now seeing normal-sized babies who aren’t major monsters of chub with massive melon heads.)
