Moving is always stressful. Always. No way around it. Just think forward – it’s only one month, and then you have your awesome new home! You can make one month for that light at the end.

and hoo, boy am I familiar with the money stress – becuase the Bun starts daycare in Sept., I am freaking out. How will we pay an extra $800-1000 a month? No idea where that’s coming from. the next year gets easier, becuase Pumpkinpie will be in full-time school, so her care gets way cheaper, and Misterpie’s salary goes up annually still for several more years, so it will balance out better, but until then, it’s going to hurt.

It is genetically impossible for men to multitask (well, successfully, at least) — they are seriously incapable of the skill.

The closing on my condo happened so fast (4 days from first visit to signing the papers at the bank), I damn near tossed my cookies when I had enough time to breathe and contemplate what I had gotten myself into. That being said, I made an excellent decision that I haven’t regretted for a moment (except recently with our deck BS).

My office is on the owner’s property. He has a pool. I was gazing at it wistfully yesterday, hoping that one day I could have a pool in my backyard. Then I remembered that The Man-Thing can’t swim, and figured it probably wouldn’t be fair to expect him to be the pool boy if he can’t use it. *kicks dirt*

Woooow. You do have a lot ahead of you! Good job at trying to keep it all together and staying organized. And I love that picture too, by the way. Just take one day at a time. Allow yourself a glass of wine. Stay as calm as possible. Being alone with the kids will be good for Mike. He’ll appreciate how you get it all done.

I’m so with you on the freaking out. We close on July 21st – two days before I leave for BlogHer. Fabulous! Seriously, I’m having anxiety attacks, nightmares, the works. So I totally feel you on that one.

I’ve informed my husband that he WILL be working the weekend that I’m gone to BlogHer. My (wonderful, lovely) cousin will take my 2 year-old during the day, and then ship her husband off to help Dave with packing & moving. It’s a brilliant plan, now let’s see if it works.

First of all your business looks exciting. Best of luck. The best thing about a move is getting rid of stuff. It makes you do things that you wouldn’t have done without the push. Oh and I just love your husbands answer about having the kids to watch while your at BlogHer. I think I would have thrown something.
