why can I not work at night (or not at all) and design during the day?

I’ve been busy, busy trying to get everyone’s designs caught up and get them done so I can have a much needed break. My evenings are the only time that I can actually work on them since I do have another full time (steady) paying job; I’ve been trying religiously to get stuff out while having HAPPY clients rather then people who would like to rip my face off if only they could reach through their screens. Complete run on sentence and I like it that way! Problem? Report me to the Grammar Police.

I had one unexpected emergency (um, aren’t all emergencies unexpected?) which took me MUCH longer then I anticipated, but when the problem is fixed, everyone is happy and everything looks GREAT, that’s the best reward! That’s why I enjoy designing. The money is far from lucrative - I couldn’t pay my mortgage on what I make, hell, I don’t know that I could even buy myself a new laptop *cough, cough* that’s for sure… but helping people and making them happy has been the biggest and bestest outcome from taking on this task.

Kinda makes me NOT want to go on hiatus… but my body doesn’t agree at this point.

Makes me all warm and squishy when I can help people!

All together now - Awwwwwwww

why did I think a linking post would be easier then just coming up with something?

Growing up I was an avid reader. I bought books regularly and would finish them in sometimes as little as a day. I was a reader and an enthusiastic writer. I would create short stories of preteen romance which would drag on for-ever. If only I Had kept some of those stories from my childhood, but too ashamed of the crap I had written and for fear that my mother would read it, everything was thrown out and forgotten.

As I entered my teens, reading became more of a chore then enjoyment. All the textbooks and journals I was required to read for school changed my love for sitting down with a good book. Until recently, the majority of the words I have read have come from your blogs and trashy websites.

Until I became unbearably sick with this morning sickness, I haven’t spent much time with a good book in hand. But now I find myself in bed, just after putting Carter to sleep, and reading until the nausea has passed and I can comfortably go to sleep.

I doubt I would have been overcome with the urge to read had I not had this vile and disgusting nausea. I’ve read more books in the past 2 months then I have in the past five years. My love for reading novels has slowly, and hopefully, surely returned.

Not to say that I won’t continue to sit here on my hard ass wooden chair pouring over your written word, but there just seems to be more comfort sitting in a dimly lit room, under huge comforting covers with a great novel and until I get that damn laptop I’ve been BEGGING for, you just ain’t comin’ to be with me.

Once again GHD has hit me up, this time with the Nap Warden Award! So, I thought, what better opportunity to share with you some of the great blogs I’ve been really enjoying. To those that are listed below: consider this your tag and I like to see you also include a list of your favourite blogs that you’d like to share with your readers!

*Disclaimer: This list doesn’t include everyone that I love because well, there are too many of you. I’ve tried to keep it to the people that I don’t normally link to, a’ight?*

In no particular order:

filling the void

As promised, this weekend will be filled with memes and overdue awards since I’m having a hard enough time keeping you interested I figure: What the hell? What’s one more boring ass post where some people may get excited for linky love and others will bitch that they never win anything.

But before I go on, I must just point out that my slight OCD was gnawing at me since I didn’t have a header so I slapped that thing together in about 5 minutes. I have to say, I am rather pleased with myself. Of course, nothing would have been accomplished without my trusty can of Coke Zero which got me through.

And now, without further ado a due adoo delay! I was tagged by GHD from So, What Do You Do All Day? and it’s even from THIS month… I know there are more, trust me: I have posts to fill later.

I drank pop and I am now less hormonal

It’s amazing what a little caffeine can do for a person. A pop, some french fries and I’m feeling like a million bucks.

Pop is one thing that I’ve opted not to cut out this pregnancy. I’ve cut it back, but I have no intention of stopping completely. It’s the only thing that’s been keeping me going lately. Without it I’m a weepy self conscious mess like I was this morning. I was even at the point of contemplating shutting this blog down. Don’t ask why, cuz I’m not really sure. I do Cah-razy things without a good dose of caffeine.

P.S. I can’t spell caffeine without the spell checker. I heart spell checker.

As you can tell, I did a little re-vamp here (AGAIN) and am now using a template created by one of my favourite bloggers, Kerflop. But note there is no header, confusing? Just a nice simple stripe across the top. Did you know still it was me? I’ll create a simple banner tonight sometime over the next 6 to 8 weeks couple days, but for now, I’m quite content with this theme.

The only thing that I am having a hard time with and getting really frustrated about is the speed of this site. I’ve tried everything and even mentioned the speed to my host who were less then helpful to give me any ideas as to what I could do. Since they say it’s not their fault, they wash their hands of the situation entirely. Don’t think that I don’t notice you wonderful people who seems to leave in less then one second. I see Sitemeter and Sitemeter sees all of you.

I promise I’ll get back to real writing soon.

As long as you promise to comment again soon.

I’m getting a slight complex again. *pout*

I think I need another pop. I love you Coke Zero.

** EDITED TO ADD: I think I may have spammed Every. Single. Person. in my gmail account with a StumbleUpon link. I am so freakin’ sorry. I hate shit like that and to think that I just did it to y’all really sucks.

I am definitely having another pop now.
