Blogging was made for bitching.
Whether it’s about slow drivers, unruly children, or spouses who can’t seem to pick up their own underwear, the blogosphere is constantly atwitter with our gripes. And while we would in no way suggest you stop bitching, once in a while it’s nice to stop and remember some of those people who makes us forget about the dirty underwear.
It is because of those people that Karen, Hilly and Britt decided to launch The RAP Sheet.
These ladies, who are full of all kindsa awesome, and well - they dropped the ball. I sent out an email the other day asking about RAP and suggested that WE start it going again.
[Yes, WE. I took it upon myself to interject - myself- because I'm just short of going crazy and needed one final push.]
Out here in Blogaritaville, there are some Ridiculously Awesome People. People who touch us, who make us laugh, who make us want to reward them with a cutesy graphic. Those are the people we add to The RAP Sheet.
My contribution to this month’s RAP Sheet is none other then Mah Girl - Mama Tulip. Honestly, I cannot say enough about this chick. She is the cream in my coffee, the tequila in my margarita, the peanut butter in my Reese cup - get it?
When I first, first started blogging I found Tulip. I don’t even remember how, but I do remember the first post I ever read: that my friends was the INSTANT I fell in love with her.
We finally had an opportunity to meet this past (winter? spring?) and it was like we’ve know each other forevers and evers.
Even though she thought I was a creepy ol’ internet stalker dude that wanted to hang out with her and her kiddies she hugged me as though I was her long lost sister. (Maybe it was the realization that I was who I said all along?)
[Did I mention she's paranoid?]
Tulip is the writer I aspire to be. She has a way with words which I can’t even explain; the simplest act of normalcy she can create into an amazing, awe inspiring read. Her posts have a way of gripping you from the very first sentence. Anything she writes - from her mother, who she lost, to her adorable little boy’s wish of sweet slumber - is guaranteed to touch you. Somehow, someway her writing will affect you.
Her personality is so electrifying and yet endearing at the same time. She unintentionally becomes the centre of attention with her personable charm, beautiful smile and badass attitude. I can’t help but be in a good mood around her.
This one’s for you, Fuckdog.
You’re my Really Awesome Person!
Love you to itty bitty pieces!

Check out their RAPs too!

I know this can be a silly little button, yet another ‘thing’ to decorate your blog with ~ and goodness knows it’s hard to keep up…
But it’s more than that. The RAP Sheet, one day, will be filled with people who touch your heart in ways you never thought possible across the many miles of the internet, through their words, actions and the soul of their character. This is about bringing some love back to the blogosphere, about lifting each other up instead of knocking each other down, about throwing out paranoia about what this person or that person thinks. About accepting the fact that we are all different and unique ~ but that we all have one thing in common: the ability to reach out and touch someone.
Who are YOU going to reach out and touch?
